Zunächst mal News in eigener
Sache:
Wie ihr vielleicht
schon auf der Anfangsseite des FOM gesehen habt, gibt es dort seit einiger Zeit
einen Event-Kalender, der als kleine Unterstützung zu der üblichen
Tourdates/Festival Sektion eingerichtet worden ist, gerade um auch kleine
Einzelgigs und Events, die sonst in der riesigen Tourseite evtl. untergehen
würden, zu präsentieren, bzw. nochmals darauf aufmerksam zu machen. Auch sehr
kurzfristig anberaumte Gigs können somit schneller präsentiert werden. Dennoch
solltet ihr regelmäßig zusätzlich einen Blick auf die Tour- und Festivalseiten
werfen.
Eine weitere Neuerung seht ihr gleich oben drüber... und zwar könnt ihr euch
nun in einen Newsletter eintragen, über den ihr in regelmäßigen Abständen
informiert werdet, was es an Neuigkeiten auf unseren Seiten zu entdecken gibt.
Ich hoffe ihr nutzt diese Art der zusätzlichen Info ausreichend. So, nun viel Spaß beim weiterstöbern...

BOLT THROWER
…have found a replacement for the recently departed Dave
Ingram.
The band are very happy to announce that original
vocalist Karl Willetts has rejoined them as a
full-time member.
Karl said, "It's fantastic to be a part of the mighty Bolt Thrower again. It
feels great to be back with the guys, I can't wait to get my teeth into the new
songs and get back on the road again. I've got some unfinished business to
attend to...!"
The now complete
line-up of Bolt Thrower - Karl Willetts, Gavin Ward,
Barry Thomson, Jo Bench & Martin Kearns will spend the next few weeks
finishing off the new material and plan to go into the studio in the new year.
NEAERA
have started recording their debut album „The
Rising Tide Of Oblivion“
for Metal Blade Records! “Two of us have already hit the studio and started recording “The
Rising Tide of Oblivion”. As you can imagine, we are really curious about the
result, the rest of us can´t wait to enter the studio
as well to contribute to the record”, comments singer Benny. Recordings
take place at Stage One Studio, Germany with producer Andy Claassen
at the desk!

HATESPHERE
... unterzeichnen Vetrag bei SPV/Steamhammer
Die
dänische Thrash-Metal Hoffnung Hatesphere haben einen weltweiten
Plattenvertrag bei SPV/Steamhammer unterzeichnet. Hatesphere gelten in
der Szene als größter Hoffnungsträger mit riesigem Potenzial. Dieses bewiesen
sie ausdrücklich auf ausgedehnten Europatourneen im Vorprogramm von The
Haunted, Exodus und Crowbar und auf sämtlichen Bühnen der einschlägigen
Metal-Festivals in ganz Europa. Hatesphere´s letzte Scheibe "Ballet
Of The Brute" erhielt in der europäischen Metalpresse wahre Lobeshymnen.
Die erste Veröffentlichung auf SPV/Steamhammer wird eine EP mit dem Titel
"The Killing EP" sein und wird zeitgleich zur Europatour mit den
Thrash-Ikonen und Labelkollegen Kreator erscheinen.

The Danish thrash metal band Hatesphere
has signed a Worldwide album deal with
SPV / Steamhammer Records. Hatesphere is regarded in the metal scene as
one of the first highlights for next year.
The band has proven their reputation as a
live band in Europe, supporting the
likes of The Haunted, Exodus, and Crowbar, and on the festival stages.
"Ballet of the Brute", their
previous album has gotten the attention of the metal press everywhere. SPV /
Steamhammer will be releasing "The
Killing EP", as the band goes out
on tour with label mates Kreator in early 2005.

THE RED CHORD
… Drummer/ album update from Guy:
After the last year of having a rotating spot behind the kit, we have finally
found a drummer who we believe will be the permanent guy from here on out. His
name is Brad Fickeisen. Some
folks >from Massachusetts may remember his playing >from being in a band
from the area called Eviscerate years back. We had some pretty huge shoes to
fill with previously working with drummers like Mike Justian,
Jon Dow and John Longstreth. Brad can definitely hold
his own. He has some great chops, hits hard and can blast with the best of
them. He has an interesting style that flows with our new material. I
definitely don't foresee their being any disappointment from people familiar
with us once you all get to check this guy out.
As for the new recording, we are going into the studio with Zeuss
at Planet Z starting the first week of January, which sets us at a May release
date for the release of Clients. Some songs that will
definitely be on the new album include Fixation on Plastics, Upper
Decker, Stupefaction, Hospice
Residence & Antman.
The band will resume playing shows in February/March after the recording is
complete and will probably be on the road for the majority of 2005.
In other news, bassist Gregory Weeks is slowly coping with the trauma of now
being the second tallest member of the band. He is expected to recover completely.

Our new album “The Design” is officially done being recorded and it already
sounds amazing. All that is left is for it to be mastered, which is taking
place this Friday at West West Side. At least one new
song should be up on the site, which is getting a completely new layout to
coincide with the album, within the week. So yeah…lots of exciting stuff

Records Label chief, Brian Slagel, hosts a one-hour show on HardRadio.com where Brian plays the best of old school
metal, new stuff and rare recordings from his personal collection. Also, there

MORGOTH
Nächstes Jahr werden wir eine der ersten Century Media
Bands mit einem luxuriösen Best Of Album feiern. MORGOTH war eine der ersten,
besten und wichtigsten Death Metal Bands aus Deutschland. Mit Genreklassikern
wie "Cursed", "Odium" und dem ersten großen Wurf, der
"Resurrection Absurd" EP, steht
ihnen ein Death Metal Award für ihr Lebenswerk zu. Ihr erstes Demo wurde
1987 aufgenommen und ihre erste Tour mit Autopsy und Pestilence fand 1990
statt, im selben Jahr, in dem sie ihre zweite EP „Eternal Fall“ im berühmten
Morrisound Studio in Tampa, Florida mixten. In genau dem Studio, in dem auch
die meisten der frühen Death Metal Bands wie Death, Morbid Angel und Obituary
ebenfalls ihre Meisterwerke aufnahmen. In den frühen 90ern war Death Metal auf
dem kreativen Höhepunkt und MORGOTH die führende Macht aus Deutschland.
Weltweite Tourneen mit Kreator, Obituary, Unleashed, Massacre, Tiamat und
vielen anderen sorgten auch auf dem Live-Sektor für diverse Paukenschläge. Aber
anstatt immer wieder dasselbe Schema zu wiederholen, entwickelten sie über die
Jahre einen dunkleren und mehr Industrial orientierten Groove. Die letzte Tour
mit den Deutschen Industrial Pionieren Die Krupps markierte das Ende, aber
sogar bis heute nimmt die Band einen ehrenvollen Platz in vielen dunklen Herzen
ein.
Das
Doppel CD Set "1987 - 1997 The Best Of Morgoth" wird am 24. Januar 2005 veröffentlicht. CD1 wird 15 Songs von all ihren
offiziellen Veröffentlichungen enthalten. CD2 startet mit dem 6-song "Pits
Of Utumno" Demo (niemals zuvor auf CD veröffentlicht), drei seltenen
Tracks und einem Multimedia Enhancement mit allen vier Promo Videos und zwei
seltenen Live Tracks von 1993. Zusätzlich werdet Ihr ein 20-Seiten Booklet mit
einer detaillierten History von Sänger Marc Grewe, allen Texten von CD1 und
vielen Fotos, Backstage Pässen, Flyern und vielem mehr bekommen.

Salem's new video "Flames"
is now available for download at www.salemband.com . "Flames" is a track off of the band's
1998 release "A Moment of Silence", an album that
was produced by Colin Richardson (Cradle Of Filth,
Machine Head, Fear Factory...) and never lived up to it's potential

MARILLION
Zum
ersten Mal seit 1990 haben MARILLION wieder ihre aufsehenerregenden Shows für die Nachwelt
festgehalten.
Die
DVD "Marbles On The Road" mit Aufnahmen aus dem Londoner
"Astoria" im Rahmen der "Marbles"-World-Tour zeigt
Marillion in Höchstform. Wie schon auf dem letzten Meisterwerk
"Marbles" überzeugt die Band mit ihrer atemberaubenden Spielfreude
und zieht ihr Publikum mit Klassikern wie 'Cover My Eyes' und 'The Uninvited
Guest' in ihren Bann.
Als Extras enthält die DVD Backstage-Aufnahmen der "Marbles"-Tour
sowie Promo-Videos der beiden Hit-Singles 'You’re Gone' und 'Don't Hurt
Yourself'.
Dies sind die ersten Filmaufnahmen der Band seit 1990, die im Handel erhältlich
sein werden.
Die Astoria-Gigs wurden extra für die DVD aufgenommen und von Michael Hunter in

Nachdem DORO gerade mal vor ein paar Tagen ihren vorerst letzten Auftritt für
dieses Jahr in Deutschland hatte, wird sie gleich wieder ins Studio gehen um
die noch ausstehenden Arbeiten für ihre am 13.12.04 erscheinende DVD „Classic
Diamonds - The DVD“ zu beenden. Ende November wird sie dann auf skandinavischen
Bühnen stehen. Dabei handelt es sich allerdings um "reine" Bandgigs
ohne das Classic Night Orchestra. Die folgenden Termine sind bereits bestätigt,

Nachdem der PERZONAL WAR Videoclip bereits mehrere Wochen bei VIVA
hoch und runter gespielt wurde ist „My Secret“ auch in der holländischen
Ausgabe von VIVA in der täglichen Playlist vertreten.
Des Weiteren kann man die Jungs auch live im Fernsehen „begutachten“, denn sie
werden am 24.11.2004 (von 08:00 bis 09:00 Uhr) live bei BTV 4 U zu sehen sein
um euch beim Frühstück ihr Video vorzustellen und mit einigen anderen lustigen
Aktivitäten zu unterhalten.
ELVENKING
ALTER SÄNGER, NEUER SÄNGER
Aus
dem Elvenking Lager erhielten wir folgendes Statement bezüglich des
Sängerwechsels:
Nach der langen Wartezeit, können wir nun offiziell Damnagoras Rückkehr zur
Band verkünden. Der Sänger, der ELVENKING vor zwei Jahren verlies, stößt nun
wieder zu seinen ehemaligen Gefährten, um das originale heidnische Flair wieder
aufleben zu lassen und den Bund zu erneuern. Nach ihrer letzten
Veröffentlichung, dem Album „Wyrd“, welches mit einem anderen Sänger (Kleid)
aufgenommen wurde, betrat die Band eine schwierige Phase, geprägt von
Uneinigkeit über die musikalische Richtung, persönlichen Beziehungsproblemen,
geschäftlichen Angelegenheiten, etc. In dieser Situation hatte die Band keine
andere Wahl als sich selbst treu zu bleiben und sich so auszudrücken wie es der
Band vorherbestimmt ist. Mit dem Original Line Up läuft nun alles bestens und
das Songwriting für das dritte Album ist fast vollendet! (eine spezielle Seite
mit Fotos und Kommentaren der Bandmitglieder ist auf der Homepage zu finden.)
Nach der Veröffentlichung von „Wyrd“ lief der Vertrag zwischen Elvenking und
AFM Records aus. Aufgrund der fantastischen Verkäufe und Reaktionen auf die
beiden Alben, sind wir froh mitzuteilen, dass die Band und AFM auch für das
nächste Album weiter zusammenarbeiten!

… the new solo project from NARNIA
frontman Christian Rivel, will release their debut album, "The Calling",
in Japan on December 22 via King Records. A European release date has yet to be

Kaum haben sie ihr Video zu "Medieval" mit dem angesehenen Regisseur Dale Resteghini (Shadows Fall, Fear Factory, Hatebreed) abgedreht, gehen DIECAST im November / Dezember auf die US RadioTakeover Tour mit ihren Labelmates von Devilinside sowie E-town Concrete und Twelve Tribes.
Mitte Februar kommen DIECAST dann auch über den grossen Teich, um endlich auch Europa von ihren, in den USA längst bekannten, Livequalitäten zu überzeugen und ihr neues Album "Tearing Down Your Blue Skies" zu promoten, das am 25.10. erschienen ist. ... Unterschreiben weltweiten Deal mit Century Media Records
Century
Media Records kann mit Stolz die Unterzeichnung eines neuen Multi-Album Deals mit der griechischen
Melodic Power Metal Band FIREWIND verkünden.
FIREWINDs CM-Debüt und insgesamt drittes Album ihrer Karriere trägt den Titel
„Forged By Fire“ und wird am 24. Januar 2005 in die europäischen Läden
kommen. Die beiden bisherigen Alben der
Band, „Between Heaven And Hell“ (2002) und „Burning Earth“ (2003), sind
über Leviathan Records, das Label von Gitarrist David T. Chastain, erschienen
und in Europa über Massacre Records sowie über EMI in Japan veröffentlicht
worden.
Gitarrist und Bandkopf Gus G. kommentiert den neuen Vertrag mit Century Media
wie folgt: „FIREWIND waren stets glücklich über die Zusammenarbeit mit David
Chastain und Leviathan, aber sowohl die Band, wie auch das Label fühlten, dass
es notwendig wurde, für dieses wichtige und starke dritte Album auf ein anderes
Level springen zu können. Ich persönlich bin immer extrem zufrieden mit meinen
bisherigen Erfahrungen mit Century Media durch Dream Evil und Nightrage
gewesen: Wir haben eine tolle Zusammenarbeit, und die Chemie im Miteinander
stimmt auch. Ausserdem haben Century Media vom ersten Tag an, an meine Musik
und an meine Ziele geglaubt.”
Für die Aufnahmen von „Forged By Fire“ benutzte die Band insgesamt drei
Studios (in Griechenland, Deutschland und Norwegen), und der finale Mix wurde
anschliessend im renommierten Studio Fredman in Schweden (wo bereits Bands wie
In Flames, Opeth, Hammerfall, The Haunted, usw. gastierten) mit dem ehemaligen
Gitarrenpartner von Gus bei Dream Evil, Fredrik Nordström, sowie Patrik J.
erledigt. Neuzugang im FIREWIND Line-Up ist der herausragende, in Sri Lanka
geborene Sänger Chity Somapala (ex-Avalon, auch bei Faro und Moonlight Agony
aktiv), der Stephen Fredrick (ex-Kenziner) ersetzt und somit die Band auch für
Live-Aktivitäten rüstet. Gus G., FIREWINDs Gründer, ist bekanntlich bis vor
kurzem Gitarrist der Labelkollegen Dream Evil gewesen, aber entschied sich
dafür, die Schweden-Metaller zu verlassen, um seine Energie auf FIREWIND zu
fokussieren. Das aktuelle Line-Up von FIREWIND runden Bassist Petros Christo
(ex-Breaking Silence), Drummer Stian Kristoffersen (Pagan’s Mind, Jorn Lande)
und Keyboard-Virtuoso Bob Katsionis (ex-Septic Flesh), der die Band für die im
Januar 2004 stattgefundene Headliner-Tour in Japan mit Rob Rock (Impelliteri)

FIREWIND in den 2003er Lesercharts im selben Magazin in der Kategorie „beste
Band” den fünften Platz erlangten. Außerdem erlangte Gus den dritten Rang in
der Sektion “bester Gitarrist” im Burrn! Magazin bei den 2003er
Lesercharts und veröffentlichte darüber hinaus nicht nur bereits diverse
“instructional guitar” DVDs in Japan über Shinko Music Publishing/Young Guitar
sondern bringt auch gerade eine eigene Signatur-Modell-Gitarren-Kollektion über

have finished recordings for their new album
“The
Lair Of The White Worm”!
The album was recorded at Berno Studio in Malmö, Sweden (July - August 2004) by
Henrik Larsson and mastered at Franky's Recording Kitchen by Berthus
Westerhuis.
The beautiful cover artwork was created by Jacek Wisniewski (Vader, etc…).
The new album contains more hooks than a
fisherman's knapsack. It overrules all albums to date with loads of energy,
power and aggression, but still never lets go of the memorable epic melodies
that are always there. The guitar leads (a lot more than on “Into The Lungs Of
Hell”) are in the vein of Michael Amott, Bill Steer & Andy la Roque mixed
with Slayeresque over the top frenzy!
“The Lair Of
The White Worm” will be released in a regular jewelcase version, but also as a limited first edition! This double-digipack will include a free bonus-DVD with the

Ingram.
In a statement, the band said: "Dave has been suffering with health and
personal problems for a while now and he has decided that it would be best if
he left the band to concentrate on his recovery. We would like to thank him for
the 6 years he dedicated to the band and we wish him all the very best for the
future."
BOLT THROWER were due to go into the
studio to record their 8th album, (the follow up to 'Honour, Valour, Pride' (2001) - the only BT release featuring
Ingram on vocals), but the recording will now be delayed until a replacement is
found.

Neu bei
ESCAPI NEW MEDIA sind die Rap Metaller BODY COUNT!
Leider musste das geplante Konzert der Jungs um ICE-T am Wochenende in der
Knitting Factory, NY aufgrund eines Todesfalls in der Band abgesagt gesagt
werden. Gitarrist D-Rock verstarb letzte Woche an Krebs. Die Show, bei der
Filmmaterial für eine DVD-Veröffentlichung mitgeschnitten werden sollte, wird
zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt nachgeholt.
TESTAMENT
Ebenfalls
eine DVD werden die Amis von TESTAMENT über ESCAPI unter’s Volk mischen.
„Scenes Between The Lines“ wird noch vor Weihnachten in euren DVD-Playern
rotieren. Bei dieser DVD handelt es sich um eine Veröffentlichung, die im Jahr

DIVERCIA
Finnish melodic Heavy Rockers DIVERCIA recently
finished the recordings of their 2nd album titled 'CYCLE OF ZERO'.
Cycle of Zero was recorded and mixed at Sonic Pump & D-Studio in Finland. The album was
mastered by Mika Jussila at the wellknown Finnvox
Studios.
Cover-artwork was again created by Kristian Jokela (also
responsible for the cover-artwork of the band's debut 'Modus Operandi').
Comment from the band on the new album...
"Now when all the recordings are done, we are pleased to express our
contentment to the final result of our new album 'Cycle of Zero'. Cycle of Zero
reflects the real sensation of our minds after all the changes happened in the
period after the release of our debut album 'Modus Operandi'. The new album
sounds way more aggressive & powerful compared to our debut and it features
some furious and powerful guitar-riffs with both harsh and clean vocals. Blast
beats are in good use within selected songs and the overall mood reflects the
sorrowful sights of our home-country Finland. Furthermore we can announce Teemu
Laitinen (known from Thy Serpent &
Throne of Chaos) as our new drummer. Teemu
already plays drums on the new album and we are very happy to have such a
skilful and experienced drummer behind the drumkit now."

Das
Bostoner Quintett DIECAST verbrachte Jahre damit, seine Fähigkeiten in der
Hardcore Underground Szene immer weiter zu verbessern, was sie schliesslich zu
einer überwältigenden Mischung aus Metal, Rock und Hardcore Spielarten führen
sollte. Egal ob sie in Riesenhallen für Genre Giganten wie Slayer oder Chimaira
eröffnen oder in kleinen Clubs spielen, DIECAST geben immer Vollgas und haben
den Standard für unerbitterlichen Metalcore geschaffen.
DIECAST kehren mit ihrem heiss erwarteten neuen Album “Tearing Down The Blue
Skies” triumphal zurück, das erste Album nach dem abgefeierten Debüt Album “Day
Of Reckoning”, dessen Veröffentlichung mittlerweile über drei Jahre zurück
liegt. Das neue Prachtstück zeigt die
Evolution der Band als Musiker und Songwriter und der neue Sänger Paul Stoddard
bringt ein ganz neues Gefühl in DIECAST´s dynamischen Sound. Von
Slayer-ähnlichen Riffs gemischt mit Hatebreed Krachern bis zu Killswitch Engage

Still introducing its first CD "Time of
Plagues" live, with great response of the audience and press in every
show. Meanwhile, drummer Marcelo Russo has left the band and has been replaced
by Rodrigo Robledo, now playing in the formation since early 2004. Prion has
composed the songs of its future full length, still untitled. Nowadays, we can
anticipate the recording of this new album starting on June 2004, and it will
be release by Furias Records before the end of the year. It will contain 9
tracks in a more brutal and technical vein, aligned to Hate Eternal and Morbid
Angel, but definitively oriented to a more brutal death metal.
DIADEMA TRISTIS
Alejandro Medina, lead vocalist and lead guitar of
Ecliptic Sunset, has decided to turn all his composing strenght in a new
project, called "Diadema Tristis". This new musical concept is
strongly related to the sadness and melancholy of the folk music from northern
lands in Argentina. Diadema Tristis has been created by Fernando Medina
(Alejandro's brother), and mastermind of the spirit of this emerging band, with
a poetic and depressive focus, letting you a trip through acoustic landscapes
and climates plenty of desolation and melancholy. Fernando will join forces
with Alejandro Medina's creation capabilities in vocals and guitars.
Diadema Tristis plans the first release by middle 2004 under the title
"Ways of Relief", what promises to be a collector's piece for lovers
of depressive folk music, a real cocktail mixed with local roots and a fine taste
of high fly music.
FUNGOID STREAM
Fungoid Stream is the new funeral symphonic doom metal
band signed by Furias Records. This fantastic formation is formed by two
members: Joseph C. (all instruments) and Simon O. (all vocals). These creative
souls, worshipers of the H.P.Lovecraft's poetry, had decided to pay homage in
their suggestive debut what will be entitled "Celaenus Fragments".
The music of Fungoid Stream could be defined as funeral and atmospheric, with a
dramatic touch of depressive doom dark metal. "Celaneus Fragments"
simplifies its essence in a fantastic, poetic concept along the five tracks,
with a running time of 43 minutes. We are facing a different proposal, walking
through the ways of great bands like Bethlehem, Morgion, Evoken, Dark Sanctuary,
Dolorian and Skepticism. Divers of the depression and the perpetual pain, you
must join to the hordes of Fungoid Stream.

Present the release of the new full lenght entitled
"The Raise of the Secret Cities", a real masterpiece of symphonic
black ambient, with the characteristic seal that Friedrich Curwenius prints in
each one of his works. This time, the art is based in a mythic, surrealist
concept: is mankind alone in its own planet? Are we fighting without companion
in the adversity or are we just being watched as rats in a lab? Mitternacht's
"The Raise of the Secret Cities" will be released in two formats: CD
normal edition, and an special double CD, DVD box packaged, including "The
Raise of the Secret Cities" and the first CD "The Desolation of
Blendenstein", with an alternate case art. An excellent opportunity to
enjoy, one more time, with this unique artist of brilliant mind and
unparalleled histrionic capability.
HEULEND HORN
Friedrich Curwenius has just started the creation of
material of the new album, embedded again in viking topics, with Vargulf and
Lord Edwar in the vocal parts. “ The Saga of the Draugr”, debut CD of Heulend
Horn, has resulted in a real success in sales for Furias Records, and it’s
expected a good response of the listeners for this new work. Friedrich
Curwenius anticipates a more powerful piece with a clear concept.
DUNKELSTORM
Dunkelstorm has recently suffered changes in the
line-up: lead guitarrist Kenaz is no longer part of the band due to unknown
reasons. The band has decided to keep playing and dating new shows with only
one guitar, meanwhile a new member could be recruited. Please contact Furias
Records if you are interested in an audition.
ARTES NEGRAS
After a real long wait, we are pleased to announce to
the southamerican and worldwide underground scene that Furias Records will
release the awaited debut album of Artes Negras, "Let There Be
Death", the only black thrash metal band in Argentina. For those ones who
didn't hear about them, its proposal could be defined as pure violence and
aggression, pouring impiety melodies and real lightnings of thrashing metal.
The music definition comes from the 80's masters like Venom, Sodom, Hellhammer,
Onslaught, Slayer, mixed with early Darkthrone, Emperor, Mayhem and
southamerican Sarcofago.
The resultant is a real holocaust of the sound. The band is formed by Nan
Noctambulus (lead guitar), Lord Infernal Inti (rhythm guitar), Funeris (drums),
Necromandus (voice), y Hellbastard (bass). " Let there be death" is
undoubtly an homage to the origins of the extreme black and thrash metal music.
It's a must. To be released very soon
EJECUCION
The label is planning the re-release ot this CD
“Observation”, with a new cover art and booklet for the jewel case format.
Although they are now disbanded, it is an excellent opportunity to revive those
glorious passages of medieval doom, now with a new graphic art. Pay attention,

INFERI
In the same way of the band Ejecucion, the label plans
the re-edition of the first CD titled “Th Call of the Dark Side”. For those
ones who don’t have this southamerican black thrash jewel, you will have a
second chance to get it, Inferi will be back on display in most extreme music
distributors. Pay Attention, collectors.
DIVE IN MINDS
Dive In Minds, melodic death players from Bahia Blanca
(Argentina), after a long rest, has restarted the work of composition of new
material for the next CD. No date estimated for this one, but it is expected a
strong, direct proposal, as they usually do.
ECLIPTIC SUNSET
Ecliptic Sunset, the band born in Salta (Argentina),
is now working with its new CD. Alejandro Medina, alma mater of the group, has
anticipated that new material will be a more dense, furious climate, with stronger
riffs and alternating black and death vocals. It will include folk interludes
as well, characteristic elements of his original proposal. Meanwhile, the first
full length “From these dried lands” has been well received by european press,
the band hopes to get new fans with the new material, that would be edited by
Furias Records by the end of the year. At this moment, Alejandro Medina is
working on finishing his book of dark and romantic poetry, which will be edited
in spanish and english, entitled “El Bastón del Ermitaño” (The Hermit’s Cane).
Probably a limited edition, it will be available through the Orion Music
Entertainment mail order.

welcomes new singer !
Adagio has the great pleasure to announce that the band has found a new voice
and friend in the person of Gus Monsanto. Out of the many demos which has been
sent to the band management came out a great version of the song
"Chosen" from the Underworld album ... Stephan Forte and the guys
have fallen in love with this Brazilian voice. Gus arrived from Brazil on
Sunday August 29th at Marseille Airport in France and from on September 1st.,
the band started to rehearse for the upcoming shows . After all the line up
changes the band has gone through, Adagio is now 100% ready to rock and spread
his music all over the World. Gus first show with Adagio will take place in
Toulouse on September 11th. A few days later, the band will fly to USA to play
at the Prog Power Festival in Atlanta on September 18th (www.progpower.com).
Another series of shows will take place in Europe starting from the European
Prog Power on October 2nd in Barloo, Netherlands.
Besides these shows, priority is given to composition of the new album which
has already begun.

Die
Schweden legen mit dem vierten Album nun ihre Reifeprüfung ab. Nach
mittlerweile drei weltweiten Veröffentlichungen („Words Of Nostradameus“
– 2000, „The Prophet Of Evil“ – 2001 und „The Third Prophecy“ –
2003) sowie Tourneen und zahlreichen Gigs (u.a. Europatour mit EDGUY,
Europatour mit HAMMERFALL und MASTERPLAN, WACKEN OPEN AIR, ...) steht nun der
vierte Longplayer der Schweden NOSTRADAMEUS ins Haus. Die Band um Sänger
Freddy Persson und Gitarrist Jake Fredén liefert mit „Hellbound“ (VÖ 25.10.2004) ein gleichsam
melodisch, wie auch aggressives Album ab und schafft es nach und nach ihre
eigene Identität zu finden ohne sich irgendwelchen Klischees oder Trends
anzubiedern. Damit dürfte „Hellbound“ sowohl für Traditionalisten als
auch für Freunde modernerer Metal Klänge interessant sein.
Produziert und gemischt wurde die Scheibe in den „Roasting House Studios“
in Malmö (Schweden) von Anders "Theo" Theander, der den Schweden
einen knallharten, aber auch sehr differenzierten Sound verabreicht hat, der

haben ihr neues Album mit dem Titel „Into the Otherworld“
aufgenommen. Die neue CD ist wesentlich druckvoller, abwechslungsreicher und
noch emotionaler geworden als die vorherigen!
Des weiteren ist die Zusammenarbeit mit der Plattenfirma Vielklang
aufgekündigt. THANATEROS sind also gerade auf der Suche nach einem neuen Label,
und da sie seit kurzem mit dem Managing Director Sven Sievers von Edition Move
It zusammen arbeiten, besteht die Chance, dass das neues Album über ein Label
veröffentlicht wird, welches doch ein wenig mehr Energie in THANATEROS
investiert...
THANATEROS befinden sich also gerade in der Warteschleife und können von daher
leider noch keine Angaben machen, wann genau das neue Album in den Läden stehen
wird.

CARNAL FORGE
Nach sieben Jahren Dienst am Mikrofon und fünf Alben
verließ Sänger Jonas Kjellgren CARNAL FORGE. Obwohl Jonas´ Austritt gerade erst
ein paar Tage her ist, wollte sich die Band nicht mit langen Erklärungen
abgeben und hat sich direkt auf die Suche nach einem neuen Frontmann gemacht.
Die aktuell anstehende Tour mit den schwer gewichten Pro-Pain, veranlasste die

Die ersten Proben der Band sind so gut gelaufen, dass der
Sängerwechsel so gut wie gar nicht auffiel. Nun liegt es an Jens, sich
mindestens 12 neue Songs vor der Tour in den Kopf zu prügeln. Na dann mal viel

was soll ich sagen?
Wie es für mich ist und warum. Ich
kenne die Jungs schon ne ganze Weile und wir haben auch schon mal zusammen
gearbeitet. Also denke ich, ich war die naheliegendste Lösung, um Jonas zu
ersetzen. Ich habe am letzten Freitag von Jonas Ausscheiden gehört, an dem
darauf folgenden Montag bekam ich einen Anruf und Mittwoch hatten wir schon
unsere erste Probe. Jonas wünsche ich alles Gute und das er findet, wonach auch
immer er sucht. Die Zukunft von CARNAL FORGE ist jedenfalls gesichert. Wir

focused immediately on getting someone to replace him instead of writing

it's been really hectic for CARNAL FORGE trying to find a new vocalist, but
finally they can announce that Jens C. Mortensen (former
Slapdash and Revolver) will be the new vocalist in CARNAL FORGE.
Jens has rehearsed with CARNAL FORGE just one time yet, but it sounded great as

were so goddamn fast and tight, I knew I wanted to be in this band even if I
didn't play guitar! I think Carnal Forge is the best death-thrashmetal-act in

As for me joining and why. I've known the guys for quite a while and I've
worked with 'em in the past so I guess I was the "natural" choice for
replacing Jonas on such a very short notice. And I do mean short, I heard
through the grapevine that Jonas had left on Friday, got the call on Monday and
we just had our first rehearsal Wednesday.
I wish him the very best of luck and hope that he'll find whatever it is he's
looking for.
As for the future of Carnal Forge I can only say that I'm certain that given
some time to grow accustomed to each other ugly faces and strange smells, we'll
prove all those in doubt of a vitalized CF Dead-Fucking-Wrong...

es endlich soweit: Der erste Video-Clip in der Geschichte der Band ORPHANED
LAND aus Israel ist so gut wie fertiggestellt. Sänger Kobi Farhi meldet sich zu

"Hallo zusammen und Shalom von Orphaned Land aus Israel. Nach vielen
Jahren haben wir nun endlich einen Video-Clip gedreht, zum Song "Ocean
Land" von unserem letzten Album "Mabool". Es ist unser erstes
Video überhaupt und es war ein wirklich harter Arbeitstag für uns alle. Wir
haben 18 Stunden am Set verbracht und filmten an zwei verschiedenen Orten:
Im Meer (wo
wir uns inmitten von hundert Quallen befanden! Es war sehr hart, doch wir waren
alle sehr mutig, wurden allerdings auch verletzt).
Unterwasseraufnahmen
in einem Swimming Pool - Ich musste stundenlang unter Wasser singen und habe
dabei eine Menge Poolwasser geschluckt! Yuck! Außerdem haben wir auch Matti
gefilmt, wie er sein Gitarrensolo unter Wasser gespielt hat.
Wir haben
mit einer sehr berühmten Theater Schauspielerin zusammengearbeitet, ihr Name
Hila Vidor. Sie war unglaublich und es war ein großartiges und inspirierendes
Abenteuer, mit ihr zu drehen. Wenn ihr mich fragt, ist sie die Königin der
Meere.

"Hello everyone and Shalom from the Orphaned Land of Israel! Finally
after many years we filmed a video clip, to the song "Ocean Land"
from our latest album "Mabool", it's our first video clip ever! It
was a very hard day of working and we were on set for 18 hours. We had
two different locations:
1. In the sea (where we bumped into hundred
of Medusa jellyfish! It was very tough and we remained brave, but got
wounded)
2. Underwater shots in a swimming pool - I had to sing for hours under the
water, I drank so much pool water, yuck! We also filmed Matti playing a
guitar solo under the water.
We were working with a very famous theatre actress named Hila Vidor and she was
unbelievable, it was an inspiring adventure to work with her. If you ask
me, she is the Queen of the sea! I think that it's a great video and it's
about time that you will all be able to watch it and judge for yourself very
soon."

Finnish melodic Heavy Rockers DIVERCIA recently
finished the recordings of their 2nd album titled 'CYCLE OF ZERO'.
Cycle of Zero was recorded and mixed at Sonic Pump & D-Studio in Finland.
The album was mastered by Mika Jussila at the wellknown Finnvox Studios.
Cover-artwork was again created by Kristian Jokela (also responsible for the
cover-artwork of the band's debut 'Modus Operandi').
Comment from the band on the new album...
"Now when all the recordings are done, we are pleased to express our
contentment to the final result of our new album 'Cycle of Zero'. Cycle of Zero
reflects the real sensation of our minds after all the changes happened in the
period after the release of our debut album 'Modus Operandi'. The new album
sounds way more aggressive & powerful compared to our debut and it features
some furious and powerful guitar-riffs with both harsh and clean vocals. Blast
beats are in good use within selected songs and the overall mood reflects the
sorrowful sights of our home-country Finland. Furthermore we can announce Teemu

STROMMOUSSHELD
"HALFDECADANCE" EP soon!
Two years after recording the debut album "Behind the Curtain"
(Avantgarde Music, 2003) Strommoussheld is in the studio again. It's all
because they've decided to celebrate their 5th anniversary with the
"Halfdecadance" EP release (500 copies limited).
So far the drums, bass, synths, samples and eight guitar tracks are already
recorded and Maels is now recording vocals. Mixing and mastering will take
place in Marcin Prusiewicz GREEN Studio (Poland). "Halfdecadance" EP
will be out on 22 Records. The release date is scheduled for 22/06/2004.

Northwind (http://www.northwindrecords.com) we are proud to announce that Soul TakerS passed the national
selections for the Aosta Internatioanl Silent Film Festival, held from the 5th
to the 8th of August. They were selected by "Strade del Cinema"
(http://www.stradedelcinema.it) for their composition and live performance of an
original soundtrack for the final sequences of the silent movie Lulù by Pabst,
playing in a 4 members line-up (piano, guitar, violin, percussions).
Soul Takers were selected together with other 7 formations from France and

Metal queen DORO is still working together with the “Metal Classic Night
Orchestra” to finish her first album for AFM, called “CLASSIC DIAMONDS”. First impressions on our homepage: www.afm-records.de
“Classic Diamonds” will present hymns
from 20 years Doro & Warlock in a new robe. Additionally, the CD will also
include multiple new songs which are especially composed for this project. The
release is scheduled for September 2004. To while away the time, there will be

Mit ihrem
Album „FACES“ stiegen die Jungs von PERZONAL WAR auf Platz #28 der MRC30 Charts
ein und sind diese Woche auf Platz #10 gestiegen. Der Videoclip zum Albumsong
„My Secret“ ist jetzt auch auf Hit24 (neuer Musikkanal von Premiere) zu sehen.
Zudem konnte die Scheibe höchste Soundcheckplatzierungen (u.a. Platz 1 im

Wie bereits erwähnt, wird es demnächst wieder neues Material von
MASTERPLAN geben. Das lang erwartete Studioalbum wird im Januar 2005
veröffentlicht. Vorab wird im November
2004 bereits eine EP, die zum Single Preis erhältlich sein wird, erscheinen.
Die Band befindet sich momentan wieder im bandeigenen Studio, wo gerade die
Aufnahmen der Basic-Tracks zusammen mit Produzent Andy Sneap begonnen haben.
Zum Endmix wird man sich Ende August wieder in die Finnvox Studios nach
Helsinki begeben, um zusammen mit Mikko Karmila den würdigen Nachfolger des so
überaus erfolgreichen Debütalbum zu vollenden.

As already announced, there will be new song material of MASTERPLAN in the near
future. The long expected studio album will be released in January 2005. An EP
will see the light in November 2004 to while away the time – it will be sold
for a low single price. The band is currently in their own studio to start with
the basic tracks together with producer Andy Sneap. The final mixdown is
scheduled for late August and will be done through mixing mastermind Mikko Karmila
at the famous Finnvox studios in Helsinki.

Zwei Jahre nach ihrem erfolgreichen

Death Metal Allstars BLOODBATH die Aufnahmen zu ihrem neuen Album

Two years after their highly acclaimed killer album "Resurrection
Through Carnage", Swedish death metal allstars BLOODBATH have finished
recordings of their new piece of rotten flesh called "Nightmares Made
Flesh" with producer Jens Bogren in Ørebro, Sweden's Studio Kuling
(Katatonia, Vomitory, Lambretta, etc.).
BLOODBATH went through line-up changes when Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth) left the
band but their new vocalist is no one other than the great Peter Tägtgren
(Hypocrisy, Pain), while
Dan Swanö (Nightingale, Edge Of Sanity, etc) left his place behind the drum kit
and is now handling guitar duties. The new drummer is Martin "Axe"
Axenrot (Witchery, etc.).
"We promise you a fukking brutal and varied piece of work with especially
outstanding performances by the new members Axe and Tägtgren, proving Bloodbath
is no longer a only tribute to death metal; it's death metal's very own
elite", the band comments on the new material.

EXTOL
Die aussergewöhnlichen und
progressiven Norweger EXTOL haben sich von Christer Espevoll (guitars) und Ole
Børud (guitars & vocals) getrennt. Peter Espevoll (vocals), David Husvik
(drums) und John Robert Mjaland (bass) kommentierten die Trennung auf einer
Pressekonferent in Oslo.
Peter: "Mein Bruder Christer und Ole haben sich vor ein paar Monaten
bereits entschieden die Band zu verlassen. Zuerst war es wie ein Schock, obwohl
wir ihre Gründe die Band zu verlassen verstehen. Aber dennoch war es sehr
traurig zwei grossartige Bandmitgleider nacheinander zu verlieren.
(...) Nach den 10 Jahren, die wir zusammen gespielt haben, erreichten wir einen
Punkt, an dem wir versuchen konnten die Band auf das Nächste Level zu bringen,
aber weder Christer noch Ole fühlten sich in der Lage in dem Masse Einsatz zu
zeigen, der nötig wäre. (...) stattdessen werden sie ihre Zeit und Energie von
nun an anderweitig invertsieren, natürlich mit unserem Segen."
David: "Ich denke, einerseits war ihr Weggang aus offensichtlichen Gründen
sehr traurig, aber es gab niemals schlechte Stimmung oder so etwas zwischen uns
in dieser Zeit. Wir sind immer noch die dicksten Freunde, was wirklich toll
ist. Wir wünschen ihnen alles Gute und ich weiss, sie wünschen uns das
auch."
Nichtsdestotrotz haben EXTOL mitllerweile neue Musiker angeheuert, die Ole und
Christer ersetzen werden, allerdings werden beide noch die folgende Show
spielen:
3 July 04 (NOR) Risøya - Seaside Festival (with Petra, Lionheart Brothers, Tess
Wiley...)
Eine offizielles Statement mit den Namen der neuen EXTOL-Mitglieder wird Ende
Juli verkündet. Laut Plan will man sich im Spätsommer im Studio einnisten und
strebt einen Release Anfang 2005 an. Eine ausgedehnte Tour in Europa und USA
wird folgen, um das neue Album amtlich zu promoten.

EXTOL
Norway's extraordinary and progressive outfit EXTOL parted ways with
Christer Espevoll (guitars) and Ole Børud (guitars & vocals). Peter
Espevoll (vocals), David Husvik (drums) and John Robert Mjaland (bass)
commented on the departure during a press-conference in Oslo.
Peter: "My brother Christer and Ole decided to leave the band a couple of
months ago. At first it came as a shock, although we understand their reasons
for leaving, but still it was sad to lose two great bandmembers, one just after
the other.
(...) After 10 years of playing we reached a point where we could try to bring
the band to the next level, but neither Christer nor Ole felt they could make
the commitment it required (...) so instead now, they invest their time and
energy elsewhere, with our blessing of course."
David: "Yeah, I mean, their parting was at one point very sad for obvious
reasons, but there was never any hard feelings or ill will between any of
us through the process. We are still the best of friends, and that's a
good thing really. We wish them all the best, and I know they wish the same for
us."
Nevertheless, EXTOL already sought out new members to replace Ole and Christer.
Both of them will still do the upcoming show though:

An official statement revealing the names will be made later in July. The plan
is to enter the studio in late summer to release the new album early 2005,

NAPALM DEATH - unterschreiben bei Century Media Records
Century Media Records ist stolz offiziell
verkünden zu können, dass die britische Extreme Metal Legende NAPALM DEATH
einen weltweiten Vertrag (ausgenommen ist Japan) unterzeichnet hat. Das erste
Release des neuen Bündnisses wird der Nachfolger zur "Leaders Not
Followers"-EP sein, das lang erwartete Coveralbum namens "Leaders Not
Followers 2". Auf zwei Songs des Albums wird Jim Whiteley mitwirken, d.h.
jener Originalbassist, der auf der B-Seite des legendären
"Scum"-Albums zu hören ist. Bassist Shane Embury erklärt
Whitley's überraschenden Gastauftritt: "Jim und ich sind über die Jahre
hinweg Freunde geblieben und haben uns zusammen viele Nächte in Birmingham um
die Ohren geschlagen. Ich dachte, es wäre eine gute Idee ihn bei einigen Songs
spielen zu lassen. Nur so zum Spaß, aber auch aus persönlichen Gründen, weil
ich glaube, dass sein Input für die Band völlig übersehen wurde. Seine Texte
auf der B-Seite von "Scum" sind einzigartig für mich..."
Mark "Barney" Greenway kommentiert das neue Zuhause seiner Band
folgendermaßen:
"Ich bin sehr glücklich zu verkünden, dass NAPALM DEATH einen
Plattenvertrag bei Century Media unterschrieben haben. Wir hatten wirklich
darüber nachgedacht unsere Alben selbst zu veröffentlichen, aber momentan wäre
das für jeden für uns zu viel gewesen. Es war uns wichtig einem Label vertrauen
zu können und zwar einem, das nicht nur Tantiemen bezahlt, sondern auch über
ein umfassendes Netzwerk verfügt, bei dem wir nicht ständig nur auf uns selbst
angewiesen sind, um die Band nach vorne zu bringen.

the "Leaders Not Followers"-EP, the long-awaited collection of
covers, entitled "Leaders Not Followers 2". The album also features
an appearance on two songs by Jim Whiteley, the band's original bass player on
the B-side of the legendary "Scum" album. Bassist Shane Embury
explains Whiteley's surprising guest-appearance: "Well basically Jim and I
have remained friends over the years and have shared many nights out in
Birmingham and I thought it would be a good idea to get him playing on a couple
of tracks for fun as well as for personal reasons really as I think his input
into the band in the early days was sorely overlooked, his lyrics on the b-side
of "Scum" are for me unique..."
Mark "Barney" Greenway comments the new home of the band: "I'm
very happy to announce that NAPALM DEATH has signed a recording deal with
Century Media. We did heavily consider releasing albums ourselves, but it
would've been too much for any of us to handle at this point in time. It was
important for us to be able to rely on a label, for once, that would not only
potentially pay royalties due, but also that had an all-round support network
where we didn't have to always rely on ourselves for everything in terms of
pushing the band forward.
I have been proved horribly wrong over putting faith in labels many times in
the past, but it seems that the current staff at Century Media have assured us
that they will do their utmost to help us in all areas. Here's hoping that
spirit continues."
The staff at Century Media Records was excited to learn the news about the
signing, since various of the staff members have not only been fans of the
unique and visionary music of the noise pioneers for a long time, but also
agree with their strong political beliefs.

Two years
after the release of "Through the Silence of Words", the
italian band has just signed a two-records deal with the Italian
label Northwind Records (www.northwindrecords.com).
The recording of their first full-lenght cd is scheduled for October 2004 at
New Sin Studios in Loria(TV) (Labyrinth, Eldritch, White Skull, Domine,
Thunderstorm, Highlord, Beholder) produced by Luigi Stefanini.
This album (still untitled) will be released in december 2004

Es gibt einfach keinen Zweifel,
LACUNA COIL sind auf dem Weg nach ganz oben. Der Erfolg des Videoclips zur
ersten Single "Heaven´s A Lie" zeigte, dass LACUNA COIL auch auf den
Bildschirmen in der 1. Liga mitspielen, was nicht zuletzt an der unglaublichen
Ausstrahlung von Sängerin Cristina Scabbia und dem perfekten Zusammenspiel der
Musiker liegen dürfte. Der Clip lief in den USA nicht nur auf Heavy Rotation
bei MTV2, sondern auch als erster (!) "Metal-Clip" bei ´Oven-Fresh´,
einer Voting-Show auf Fuse TV und hängte in der Zuschauergunst Mitbewerber wie
Pink oder Britney Spears ab. Zeitgleich lief der Clip in Europa bei VIVA und
VIVAPlus, sowie in wochenlanger Superhot-Rotation bei MTV Italia.
Am 07.06.2004 erscheint nun die zweite Single "Swamped" vom
Erfolgsalbum "Comalies", zu der es wieder ein fantastisches Video aus
der Hand des großartigen Regisseurs Patric Ullaeus geben wird.
Patric Ullaeus arbeitete bereits mit Bands wie In Flames, Dimmu Borgir,
Passenger, Tiamat, Dream Evil etc. aber auch für Popkünstler wie Sasha, Scooter
oder Natural.
Zur Zeit befinden sich LACUNA COIL auf einer 6-wöchigen US-Tournee mit den
Megasellern P.O.D., bevor sie ab Juli für zwei Monate Teil der renommierten
Ozzfest-Tour sind. LACUNA COIL waren dabei Wunschkandidaten der beiden Osbourne
Kinder Jack und Kelly. Mutter Sharon kommentierte die Wahl ihrer Sprösslinge:
"Dann ist eine wundervolle Frau mit auf der Tour, und wir haben gerne zumindest
eine Frau dabei."
Am 21. Juni veröffentlichen Century Media Records europaweit eine limitierte
2-CD Deluxe Edition des Albums "Comalies" mit einer Bonus-CD zum
Preis eines einzelnen CD-Albums.

There´s no doubt, LACUNA COIL are on the way to the top! The success of
the video for their first single "Heaven´s A Lie" showed that this
band also plays in the first league on TV screens, which results from the
incredible charisma of singer Cristina Scabbia and the perfect interaction of
these great musicians. The video-clip for "Heaven's A Lie" was not
only catapulted to Heavy Rotation on MTV2, but was also the first (!)
"metal" clip added to the voting show 'Oven Fresh' (which the band
won, above mainstream acts like Britney Spears and Pink). At the same time the
response in Europe was similar and the clip was added on VIVA and VIVAPlus as
well as picked for Superhot-Rotation on MTV Italia.
The second single "Swamped" from the highly acclaimed album
"Comalies" will be released on June 7th! Again there will be a
fantastic video, shot by the famous director Patric Ullaeus, who already worked
with bands such as In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Passenger, Tiamat, Dream Evil and
also pop artists like Sasha, Scooter or Natural.
LACUNA COIL is currently touring the US with mega-sellers P.O.D. for six weeks
before embarking on two months of the respected Ozzfest-tour. The band was
handpicked by the Osbourne children Jack and Kelly. Mother Sharon on the choice
of her descendants: "... we have a wonderful woman with us, we always like
to have a woman with us on the tour."
End of June a European-wide limited 2CD deluxe edition of "Comalies"

Finntroll are about to become one of the most important bands in the
Metal Genre. Their new album "Nattfödd" is the most successful in the

Unser bisheriger Live-Gitarrist Matthias wird von nun an als festes
Bandmitglied einsteigen und auch einen Teil der Gesangsparts übernehmen.
Wer sich von seinen Qualitäten schon vor dem Release des nächsten Albums
überzeugen will, hat bei den anstehenden Gigs ausreichend Möglichkeiten.
Leider erreichte uns folgende Nachricht von Veranstalter des Blackfest in
Koblenz:
"Es tut mir in der Seele weh euch die nachfolgenden Sätze schreiben zu
müssen, da ich letztendlich ne Menge Arbeit, Geld und Herzblut in die
Angelegenheit habe einfliessen lassen. Blackfest is down..."
Wir werden versuchen, einen anderen Gig
